I didn't think it was too hard of a job when I did mine. I had a more difficult time trying to take off the 33bhp restrictor!

Well can't wait to see the end product now, I might have to think about this upgrade myself.
Out of interest how much were the light units?

As I am planning on doing something similar in the near future, thanks for letting me learn from your mistakes.

Only thing is, are angel eyes not the Headlighting equivilent of Rim Tape ?

Yes angel eyes are purely for display purposes and I would never replace them for the dipped headlights at night.

However, during the day when everything is nice and bright, it's nicer to have your sidelights (angel eyes) on without the main/dipped beam

yup Lance destroys stuff so you don't have to

regarding quality of hids:
they are made in a secret factory by the evil twin brother of Willy Wonka who is called Billy Wonka but in this factory Billy employs the arch enemy of the Umpa Lumpas who are the Lumpa Umpas they are noted of having magical pizz that can turn lighting products into something wonderful once the lighting product has has it's golden shower then Billy can charge whatever he likes.

if you believe that the ones you get from USA are any better than the ones from China then you will believe the story above.

i don't trust the voices in my head any more as they keep trying to get me to do naughty things.

anyway, think i'll start on the loom today and see how it goes. should be fine as it's just a replica of the one i already have but with added wires and TBH i think this is where people go wrong with HID installs and try to use the supplied loom instead of customising it.

That's why I trust them!

Is there any reason you went for a 3" unit rather that a 2" or a 2.5" light?
