HID Projector Install, Pointy.
problems i have encountered so far.
1. there is not enough spring force using the old bulb retainer to keep the unit in position as its too heavy. so you will have to drill 3 small holes in each reflector mounting then screw in very small self tappers. 2. the SV pointy bulb recesses are angled so you have to twist the projector to give a flat beam. 3. as there is no side light on the main reflector you will have to drill a hole to pass the solenoid and angel eye wires threw or unpick the connectors then pass threw the spring retainer opening then attach the connectors again. so far i would say that if you really must have Projector HID then be prepared for some ballache. if you don't want ballache then just get normal HID as it's far easier. the good news is that it's looking very positive that the 3'' BiXenon RHD Angel Eye kit is going to fit just nicely. to be continued.... |

Looks good.
Ref the drilling I would be drilling no problem as I'd planed to paint the reflector black anyway as its no longer needed. Sent from my SV650s using Tapatalk |

Re: HID Projector Install, Pointy.
waiting on another unit coming so it's on hold. might just do the loom in the meantime.
i have toyed with the idea of taking the CLF out and replacing with LED rings. |
