Default Lost my SV Keys

I'm currently sitting in an AA Truck with my Curvy loaded at the back!
I somehow managed to lose my keys between where I parked my bike and my desk at work.

It wasn't until it was time to go home before I realised that my keys had gone missing.
Thankfully, my CaroleNash insurance has recovery, but I had to sit at work for over 3hrs before they got to me.

I've got one spare key at home and one spare fob for the alarm.
However, I was wondering what my options were.......is it worth changing the ignition for "peace of mind" or is it too expensive.

I would hate to keep thinking that someone out there has got the keys to my bike! I usually park in the same place when I ride to work.

Also, can this cause an issue with insurance if the bike gets nicked?

By the way, if you see a big truck with "sirens" blowing, it might just be me cos I don't have the fob to turn it off.......my neighbours are going to hate me tonight.

Nah, can't be. On the Curvy, you need to use the keys to open the pillion seat so I would have remembered that

Normally I would put the keys in my helmet after parking the bike; yesterday however was the first day of riding into work with the Bluetooth headset so I decided to leave the helmet on and listen to the radio till I got to work.
I must have dropped the keys somewhere along the way while walking from the parking bay to work.

Do you use the steering lock?
I'm forever taking keys out the lock, while still holding the key I remove my gloves and stuff them in my pockets, keys and all.
Alternatively i hold them until im at my desk, when i then need to remove y gloves to remove my helemt. in that case they're slung on my desk and found under my crap from the days work. I'm not suggesting you didn't look for em in those places but when ever I've "lost" my keys they've always turned up.

My nephew put mine out the cat flap at my mum's once. We'd searched all over... except on the back door step. He was only a toddler.

Owneski, I'd be really surprised if the keys turned up. My desk is clean so there's no hiding place for it really.

A tidy desk is the sign of a sick mind you know.

Ha ha, far from it. If you saw my desk before the "spring cleaning" I carried out on my last working day of 2012, then you would have thought I was a sick mind then.
