Thumbs up London - Delhi (Mad-)project

Dear all,

I came across this project http://www.project-london-delhi.com in the September issue of the German "Motorrad News" magazine. Engineer Peter Brenner is planning to cover the distance between London and Delhi with his custom built motorcycle. What's newsworthy about this? This:
He is planning to do so without a single fuel stop!!! He will take with him ca. 130 litres of fuel. I don't know if he will actually have a 130-litre fuel tank. Let's wait and see.

At present he is still at building/designing stage. It is believed he will use a Honda CBR125 engine.

I understand the idea is not to invent something new but to show that very low fuel consumption vehicles can actually be built with already existing resources and expertise - much to the dislike of oil companies I suppose.

He will start in London. I provided him with information from the DVLA about how to register a custom built motorcycle in the UK. I believe he is planning to register it here before the journey.

So for those interested, keep an eye out. I might escort him to Dover.
