Default Garden trampolines should be banned

Discuss.

I hate the feckin things. Our house is at the end of a long V shape of houses that are back to back. We look down the V from our back garden.

There are four families that have kids from about four to fourteen and they all have trampolines. Every evening since the warmer weather arrived, the feckin kids are put on the tramps bouncing and screaming constantly. And I mean screaming and screaming and screaming and screaming until I want to shoot the little feckers!

My kids pay out, play with their mates, chat, mooch, and take the p1ss all at volume levels and pitches that are not guaranteed to cause an adult to want to commit infanticide!

Tonight, I was out sippin a beer, toasting myself in front of my Chuck Norris approved gas bottle wood fire when the dog went mental! Dolphins in the sea were diving for cover and crystal glasses were shattering.

Why?

The little screaming brats were outside! Bouncy bouncy, scream and scream...

Mrs. BP called me inside when she saw me standing staring at them with a razor sharp axe in my hands.

I hate garden trampolines.

Anyone got a Barrett .50?

Pete

I hate them too. I'm glad I aren't the only one.
Since the houses got built round the back of us, summer is like living next door to a primary school. The noise echoes loudly and it goes on and on and on until midnight, depending on certain religious times of the year.

I can't wait until this house is sold. In fact I think I ought to put it on the list of priority for the new house.

If I see one trampoline in any back garden , we aren't buying!!

When they jump up in to view over a fence or bush, they make a good moving target

On a serious note, they should be banned from a safety point of view, everybody I know who's got one, has a story to tell about accidents that have happened with theirs.

Ps, Pete, climb up the police ladder and get yourself a new quieter pad, that's what I need also

The one next door blew away, and bent one the arms that hold the net. I was kind of hoping they would bin it, but nope they put it up last week until my youngest nearly fell off when the arm broke.
I wasn't happy.

As for the one in the other neighbours garden....... I'm thinking of sticking their stupid yapping dog on it and seeing how far into the sky I can bounce it

How about a nice friendly chat with their parents, asking them to keep the noise down a little? I know this sounds revolutionary but it may just work! Worse than this is adults who decide to drink heavily around their barbecue and then spend the rest of the night f'ing and blinding at a volume that can be heard for around half a mile. Kids are much easier to control but if their parents don't know they are bothering you then they won't do anything to quieten them. You don't have a problem with trampolines, just noisy kids. Do you know if the noise of your bike bothers your neighbours?

BP get your kit off and get on a trampoline - that would change your view!
