Left foot down with rear brake on for me. If some idiot does catch me off guard and hits the back of me then the bike won't shoot off it front of me. But then that's what I've been taught from my cbt and in practise, it's probably no use what so ever. Seeing as most motorcycle clutches are wet I've never seen wear as an issue.

Unfortunately the first thing that happens when you get shunted from behind is you rotate backwards off the bike, so your foot comes straight off the pegs.....and back brake.

Into neutral, left foot down, then I can lift my visor a little to stop it misting up.

Into neutral and shake the arms, pump hands and cross arms, just to look cool of course.

I was taught to put the left foot down to cover the brake after putting in neutral. I normally sit with the clutch held in and right foot on the brake.
