On the news today they broke the usage down 20 billion litres a day by households, 10 billion litres a day by business and a further 10 billion litres a day lost in leaks.

Some good may come out of it if they can't water the golf courses maybe they'll go out of business. Stupid bloody game.

Golf's such a boring game you can't even say the word on here without it being censored. It must mean something rude in American.

Don't worry about those fish worms, they're virtually pure protein and will do you no harm at all.

Well funnily enough I dont want to drink salt water. In case you havent worked out, drinking water isnt the same as sea, salt water. :P

You whinge now, try after they've built desalination plants to remove the salt and bill you for the costs.

Well the north of the country generally gets more rainfall hence theyre rarely likely to get a ban or drought notice.

Not much you can really do if the natural levels are low and people dont conserve water. Other than build pipes to ship it down from the north. But not particularly environmentally friendly or useful if they should be sorting out the wastage on leaks before building more infrastructure tbh.

Hmm... every year for the last 3 or 4 we've had hosepipe bans in place and in 1995 the situation got dire.

Yorkshire Water is proposing 24 hour cuts in water supplied on a one day on, one day off basis.

Its been close up here a few times. But in 1995 we had stand pipes, we were shipping water up from down south. I remember my dad filling the bath with water before it was cut off just so that we'd have enough to boil for tea coffee etc.

But yes, its a case of "Water Water all around, but not a drop to drink".

I left all my taps on last night, just because I can. You should all move to the Land of Infinate Rain.
