Re: Can we call the new SV the Steely ?
If it's made out of the same steel my V-Strom's subframe is cobbled together from, that doesn't bode well seeing as it's covered in rust after 2 years of fair weather riding.
Steely already refers to 90s CBRs but most of them have been thrown at the scenery on track days by now so we should be good.

How about 'rusty' then ? As for the look of the Gladius / steel frame it looks pretty good in this 44 teeth TT 2016 prep video...

Re: Can we call the new SV the Steely ?
...I talked to a dealer whilst looking to the purchase of hardware to secure the seat of my K3 SV 650 and he assured me the frame of the new SV 650 is totally different and much lighter than the Gladius frame...

Re: Can we call the new SV the Steely ?
...the two bolts to secure the seat were $5 each @ the Suzuki dealer, so, I went to a hardware store and found the same thing for $0.42 each...

Well whatever the shortcomings or otherwise of the AL7 frame it handles well - maybe call it the 'stealy' because it is such a bargain.
