Default Helmet Speakers - For Sale £12

Want helmet Speakers for my Tom tom.
Was thinking of these

Quote:
HS92 - Helmet Speakers w/ Volume Control

These helmet speakers are thin, provide high volume, and are uniquely designed for helmets. They plug into any radio, MP3, or CD player that has a standard 1/8" output jack. They are very comfortable inside your helmet. Just press them into your helmet’s ear pockets or secure them to the helmet lining with the attached Velcro™ or adhesive Velcro™ pads. Use these speakers with any helmet that covers your ears. Your satisfaction is guaranteed!

Unlike model HS88, this model includes an inline volume control.

Specifications:
Speakers:
Dimensions: 2 1/4" tall X 2 1/8" wide X 5/16" thick
Impedance: 32 ohm Max Power: 50 mw with 3.5mm connector jack

Connector Cable:
Stereo music cable: 3.5mm(1/8") plug to 3.5mm(1/8") plug
$24.95
Unless anyone has any other recommendations.

Could end up in a group buy if anyone's interested

The TomTom Rider comes with In-Helmet speakers anyway?
(Or am I right in guessing you don't have the Rider version?)

I like these as they are like ear plugs, use them with my phone which has Tom Tom running. Even lets me take calls if I want (I don't).

Vixen Headsets

Though there are lots of other options on there website.

those are HUGE speakers for most helmets and will not fit in the speaker pockets

check the size of the speaker pockets in your helmet before purchase

Thanks for the heads up Randy, you're right over 2" is much bigger than my helmet recesses. but 5/16" is not very much so I still hope they should be OK.

Stu - not got them yet, but I'll put you down for one of the 10 I've just ordered.

Grinch - not got the best part of £100 Only spent that on my PDA

I know its not cheap but its easy moved between helmets as its just a Heavy Duty ‘Velcro’ pad, plus you don't have to worry about speakers or earplugs. I've used autocom and others and found the speakers a pain to sort out... then next best this is this -

Panasonic RP-HS9 Clip-on Earphones as they are thin they just slip under your helmet, but I found they did rub your ears after a hours ride. £9.

Ok, I now have these for sale to .org members for £10 each (incl. p&P I think if I can find some jiffy bags).

I've learnt my way to and from work now, so I'm not constantly on the Tom Tom.
But they're great for the ipod - with earplugs in as well of course
