To be fair, the government has to react to how the virus is spreading. As far as a 'get out plan' is concerned, it took them four and a half years to come up with a get out plan for leaving the EU and even then it isn't all that clear what will happen ( is it ?!), and that was when they could talk to and negotiate with people. They can't negotiate with a virus.

The government would serve the country better by acting on the advice of SAGE, rather than waiting and reacting only when deaths are high and hospitals are already at capacity.

If in September, No. 10 had implemented the 2-week circuit break, made universities online only (as advised by SAGE) and not insisted "get back to WORK you PROLES," and of course implemented proper checks and isolation measures for people traveling into the country, we wouldn't be in this lockdown now.

Incompetence doesn't even begin to describe it. The government has failed at every stage of handling this pandemic, despite clear warnings and guidance from other countries on how to handle it more effectively.

They do not have a direction at all, or a get out plan. It is all based on 'IF's' which are all reliant on the Government and relating bodies to carry out their duties. Which lets face it is a low bar . . . . .
