Well yesterdays very happy smile, out with the wife in the car and we get stuck behind the learner from hell.

Stalls at traffic lights and by the time she restarts it they have gone back to red, follow her on the A road and she drops from 18 to 10MPH as she passes each island etc. I am fuming with her instructor she isn't fit to be on the main roads yet!

Then as we crawl round the bend. There he is in his scamera van. I am doing 15 where I would normally be doing well past the limit. Waved to the disappointed camera operator, not today. This time I didn't need to check my brakes. Thank you learner. Big smile.

Be careful making gestures at speed camera operators, somebody around here not that long ago was prosecuted (think he might have been jailed ) for doing that although he did make a rude gesture.

I had to change a memorable question/ answer on a service operator we use. I got the usual set to choose from, so I went with mothers maiden name. The answer was rejected as it didn't contain numerics.

That did occur to me but I went for another question in the end in which I did something similar. I can only assume that this developer just used the code for setting an account password and didn't think about the relevance to the questions.

I had to excuse myself twice on a conference call with my boss today as I kept getting couriers turning up at the door. Seems Lady Poppy has gotten the bit between her teeth and has been furiously ordering Chrimbo presents. Bosss man thought it was hilarious that it happened twice in the hour but after the sixth one turned up I was getting a bit cheesed off. And then the insurance valuer turned up early and wondered why I burst out laughing... Once Lady P got back after lunch of course no more turned up!

This made me smile, having been out of work for a few months until this week myself. Looking forward to getting mine too.
