Do you have a full exhaust system and performance air filter??

If the answer is no then I wounldnt bother. Its not just a case of pluggiong it in and away you go. You will need to buy some dyno time aswell with it. Just save yourself the money and get your standard ecu re-mapped if you need to. And its not really about all out power gains. Its more aimed at optimising what you already have.

you can also look at getting your own standard ECU rempaed aswell instead of a P/C.

If the bike is running lean/rich?

Does it have flat spots as you accelerate?

Is it quite jerky?

If you havnt noticed any of these you probably dont need to bother. However as SV650K4 and myself have said, a stock ecu remap will do most of what a PC3 USB can do and for a fraction of the cost.

none off the above the bike feels fine.
do you just take the ecu out to be remaped or do you have to take the bike aswell?

If the bike feels fine then i'd leave it to be honest but, yeah its the whole bike that goes in.
