Greetings from Saudi Arabia
Evening all,
Have been lurking around this forum and viewing as a guest for a little while and have now decided to join up properly. The name's Dave and, as per the title, I'm an ex-pat based in Saudi Arabia - however, when I'm back in the UK I reside around Southampton and my trusty little curvy SV650S is my only form of transport. It's also my first bike since passing my test back in October when I left the RAF and I love it to bits. It already had a Viper end-can, lower fairing kit and double bubble smoked screen but I've also done a couple of little bits to it since I bought it - A few carbon bits, HEL braided brake lines, a purple screen (which I'm still undecided one), clear indicator covers and silvertech bulbs and some reflective rim tape etc. I have a set of Oxford heated grips to go on it along with a Honda CBR1000 voltage regulator as my original Suzuki one is only kicking out 12.5v max and I am currently amassing a complete set of spare fairings so I can get them resprayed and fitted to the bike as part of a mini-overhaul/rebuild. The bike has seen a lot of use for country-wide touring, group days out and general day to day getting around whenever I'm back in the UK and I've recently done my first track day on it hooning around a circuit at RAF Odiham in Hampshire which was BRILLIANT fun. I fully expect that once I've splashed the money out on the bike that it needs (2 new tyres, a new chain and sprocket and fitting the other bits I've accumulated for it) I'll be keeping it for a LONG time. My nephew and niece love it as well I look forward to chatting to you all around the board |

Re: Greetings from Saudi Arabia
It's my first bike and I've had my licence less than a year. I want people to see me and a bright yellow bike goes a long way to achieving that - especially as it drains the battery using the headlights
I've still got that car btw - although in a lot more bits than it is in that photo. |

Re: Greetings from Saudi Arabia
Good point! The RR isn't known to be great on these, a quick search on here points you in the right direction!
Poke your head into the Guildford Massive section. None of us in there are from Guildford, we're all over the south/South East from Pulborough, Aldershot, Eastleigh, Southapton etc, etc, |

Re: Greetings from Saudi Arabia
Indeed. T'was my first proper outing on the bike and was as exhilarating as it was terrifying. Got lots of brilliant photos though courtesy of the on-site photography company. It was extra special for me as I was stationed there for 2 years in (what now feels like) a previous lifetime.
