What's the thoughts on keeping the bike safe next to the tent overnight? The other obvious thing to do would be not to park the bike right next to the tent.

I just stick a disc lock with an alarm on the bike.
If you are on a electric hook up, use the post with a chain.
But as most bike theft is usually scoped out your be unlucky to get it touched.
