Default Polished Rims

Has anybody had any experience polishing the rims on their SV?

I've been led to beleive that if I Nitromorse the smooth part of the rims it will leave a ready to polish shiny surface underneath?

Anybody know any better?

Thanks

any idea on a supplier for this nitromorse stuff ? tried a google and got nothing...

from what I read online you use the nitromorse to bring off the existing covering then wet and dry and autosol to a shiny finish ??

Dont poilsh ya rim if you use your bike all year round. It will tarnish very quiclky with all the salt and moisture in the air. IMHO, polished rims are for streetfighters and bikes that are only for 'summer' use. Still, carry on!

just use a nitromors or similar then really you dont need wet and dry

just the autosol as the alloy finish is really quite flat you`ll be surprised how long it doesnt take

You may have to use a lacquer after application, my forks are pitted at the top a little, it appears to be the existing lacquer coating that is pitting bit wary of what I apply to improve the appearance of them.
