Polishing Wheel Rims - SV650.org

Ive been thinking what other cosmetic mods i can do to my bike considering its got pretty much everything else on it. The only significant other mod i can think of is Polishing the wheel rims, and some examples ive seen it looks very good.

Considering my bike is blue, i was thinking about blue centres with polished rims? Anyone else got any photos of this? Whats the procedure (seen different versions) and how hard are they to keep clean?

They look great but you need to be prepared to spend the rest of your waking life polishing them.
A nightmare apparently.

ive heard they aint that bad.

what you wanna do, is mabe get some blue paint and paint em ?
or even get some rim stickers.

but if you wanna polish them

you will need
some kerasone or parafin
art masking fluid
a paintbrush
a few old rags
plenty of elbow grease

remove wheels from bike (its easier this way)
paint the masking fluid around the areas you dont want polished
apply kerasone to the cloth
rub like buggery for a few hours
remove masking fluid

job done

or you could look through MCN, there are some companys that come to you and polish em for ya, my mate chose this option and it cost him 20 quid (for the pair)

he was pleased. . . when im really really bored, im gonna polish mine
