mitsubishi lancer wouldn't let me pass this morning
Everytime I accelerated - he did too. No chance at all for me to overtake him on the SV.
Made me feel like I'm riding a scooter. |

I once had one (Mitsubishi Evo again) try and keep up with me on a fairly twisty A road in Lincolnshire once, pillock was doing some suicidal overtakes to try and keep up. |

I had a go at one of these when I was coming home from Poole Quay a few weeks ago. I stuggled.....a lot.
Power = 435 bhp Torque = 470 Nm 0 - 60 = 4 seconds Top Speed = 186mph Acceleration was pretty even, maybe I had the edge, until we got to the corners. He could carry a lot greater corner speed, especially as my bottle was starting to go at 145

funny enough I finally overtook him on a roundabout.
He kept slowing right down everytime at roundabouts. I think he just bought the car or something... Anyway I still gave him the thumb up when passing him or was it I can't remember |

As much as I love cars, 0-60 in 4 secs in a car is nowhere near as exiting as 0-60 in 4 secs on a bike.
Sadly I corner much faster in any car than I can on my SV |

I surprised a guy in a Porsche Caymen S one night - by sitting next to him form the lights to 100.
I see him regularly - we just exchange smiles now. |

To be honest, the SV should be quicker up to about 90-100 from a standing start.
Obviously when you get to accelerating on the motorway, the Evo will be more than a match. Not that I make a habit of it, but I once had a 'spat' with an SP1 Subabru Impreza (on a straight, lengthy B road) the Impreza was struggling from start to ..............the Legal limit. |
