try the battery connections and make sure that they are nice and tight.
get the bike up to working temp and slightly raise the idle and see if that helps.
have you checked the oil level?
have you checked the TPS position?

if there has been old fuel than things might just need flushed threw, get some dry fuel and dump that in the tank then let it idle for a while.

Was going to suggest Idle speed, my SV was doing the same as yours but idle was at 900rpm, up to 1001-1200 and it fices it.

Of course, ar the same time I sorted out a clutch drag issue, so could have been that too.

Check you r clutch adjustment?
