Yep, it's a big lump but only the LX was more fully-featured I think. Manual or aperture priority, mirror lock up etc. My only gripe is the focus screen which isn't split circle and needs a bit of surgery to replace. Vertical titanium shutter so very good and flash sync up to 1/125 (which is likely to be a real 1/90).

I got out to the coast at the weekend and fired off a few shots on a film I've had in a Ricoh 500 for 2 years.
Scanner arrived today, beautifully packaged. It looks really neat and I like the way it packs up in a carrycase. Busy at work this week so I'll wait until the long weekend and decide which computer to install it on.

Glad it arrived ok. Very small but very good scanner. Hope it works well.

I can bore you to tears with 30 year old negative scans.

Fine by me. I have old slides that I found at car boot sales.

Make sure you install the drivers first and then the scanning software. Gets a bit grumpy if you don't. The catch on the negative holder can be a little tight so be careful. My X500 and Yashica T3 were both loaded two years ago too.

The lenses arrived today, I got everything I mentioned so quite a few. The Pentax 50mm f1.7 will pay for the lot. The let-down is the Sonnar; it's a bayonet mount for God knows what. He was also selling a nice Contax so I assumed that it was the same mount, and a scan of ebay for a value looked like all the ones like that were Contax mount. I think they're all fine.
Think I might have a film loaded last year but not sure! Got 2x120 to develop, and 2x35mm to finish but one only has a few shots left.

See facebook, just tagged you. It is a Contax mount, it's like the normal one for the 50mm plus a big flange over the outside. Once it's on it covers up the focus scale etc. as that's only for 50mm anyway, and it has its own. Here it is

Front and back need a clean but the internal glass looks fine and it feels nice. Need a finder of some sort I guess, but I also need to make the Contax work!
Chuffed now
