sv1000s that stall/suspension

My 04 1000s stalls when cold. Starts fine, then gently cuts out. restarts no worries. idles fine after a mile or so. Any ideas?

On a more positive note I want it to handle more like my old sv650s, ie turns quicker and steers better under braking. Am going to replace the michelin road 2cts with 014's (realy don't like the 2cts). Has any one found a good set of suspension settings, or changed fork springs with good results?

when my cold start (choke) turns off sometimes mine seems like its going to cut out but i turned up the idle just a tad and its fine now, as for getting it to handle like your old 650 if you find out let me know, remember the 1000 does weigh 30kg more.

Mine was idling at 1500 and I just left it in for a service and the first day when guy was taking a look at it, he turned it town to 800. I noticed the problems you are describing. I drove it for a day or two, and when I got it back from the service it idles at 1000 now.

Remove the Steering Damper? I'm running stock settings, and don't particularly want it to handle the way my 650 did- wallowing under braking and not a good response from the brakes or suspension, and not liking to be leaned or have any throttle adjustments in corners.
