Where to buy 'nearly legal' plate online?
I think I'm gonna take the plunge with a tail-tidy, and I'd like to get a smaller plate to go with it, nothing that takes the p1ss, just something a bit neater.
At the Guildford meet last week I was quite taken with Law's plate, it was about 8x6 (instead of the proper 9x7) and the font style and size looked legal to me. Can anyone recommend an online place that can sort me out with a plate roughly that size? Most importantly it's got to have the legal font or something very close to it (I think non-legal fonts look a bit max-power)... I've looked at places like malplates and craigsplates but they are a little bit vague about what the finished article will look like (whether the lettering will fit, what the font will be etc) Cheers..... |

on craigs plates you should be able to do a mock up of your plate with the different fonts that they do

I think it was Craig's Plates last year that I ordered from. Have to say that the quality was a bit naff. I used www.myshowplates.co.uk last time and it was much better and I ordered on Sunday evening and it arrived on Tuesday morning!

I had a legal plate on my bike, then cut it down to a nice size. Font size and spacing between letters is fine that way, although I'm kind of pushing it with the spacing between the letters and the edge of the plate.
Never had any bother. |

white number plate?
I really hate the yellow colour of our UK plates. Clashes with my blue paint, Dahling! Has anyone tried using a white one? I suppose it's illegal, but has anyone been nicked for it? BTW, on cars, why do we have white front and yellow rear plates?
