Re: Alternative grab rails for a Curvy
yeah i used the love handles yesterday when i took my ten year old son out for first time. he felt comfortable and i felt happy as I could feel him pull on them when i accelerated.

Re: Alternative grab rails for a Curvy
I have the same problem with my girlfriend complaining that she doesn't feel safe holding on the curvy's stock grabhandle. She also get's tired holding with her shoulders back all that time. Side handles such as those found on the Versys or ER6's seem to be comfier and safer for pillions. think I'll try manufacture my own... has anyone tried his hand on fabricating anything on these lines?

Re: Alternative grab rails for a Curvy?
Could you not shape the plastic at all? Maybe cut the existing one in half and flip it round using the existing bolt holes?

I don't think that wanting to hold onto a bike doing 70mph is particularly sissy-like lol

Re: Alternative grab rails for a Curvy?
fit a rear seat back rest like on a custom chopper or a back box with some padding

Re: Alternative grab rails for a Curvy?
I fitted a Givi back box with back rest which is great as it fits two hemets inside as well making it very practical. Still, having a good grabrail to hang on to is more reasuring. Rear grabrails are more of a fashion item than practical. I think good side grabrails should be enforced by law otherwise the pillion is in danger on a bike.
