Default Smoking radiator

Hi,

So I know that after riding in the rain the radiator steams while it burns off the water, but just recently it has started doing it before going riding. This morning I started it up and steam/smoke started coming off the radiator. there is a wet stain down the middle of the radiator. I keep the bike in a garage overnight and can't imagine it was still water from the day before especially seeing as the rest of the bike was dry! Is it something to worry about or not?

Also i recently noticed a white layer on the oil view window which i assumed to be due to lots of short runs in the rain and didnt worry, but with the two issues together its got me wondering if theres a leak somewhere

Cheers

Is it using/losing coolant ??

If so, you have a problem ... if not .... you don't !!

Dampness will make it steam ... but the bike will take a while to warm up anyway ??

odd that its down the centre. Have you ridden through diesel spills or owt like that? This looks wet but doesn't evaporate.

Havent had chance to check the coolant yet but will do once i get home (after bikes cooled down of course)!

Its steamed a lot before and never really worried about it but in the past its always been after riding in the rain
