Default Accessory leads for Optimate

My mate found by chance these connectors which he tells me fit the battery lead of Optimate3. This means that you can make power leads for things such as sat navs and mobiles utilising the Optimate lead already attached to the battery. Saves messing around attaching more leads to the terminals. For users of earlier optimates you could "upgrade" to these fitting easily I reckon.

Why not fit a cigarette lighter socket? Very cheap. Charge your mobile, power SatNav, etc., without butchering their leads.

If you alredy have Optimate leads it's yet more cables to the battery terminals. Cigar lighter sockets tend to be unreliable in their fit so intermittent with a connection. More chance of water ingress. But that's just my experience/belief.

To anyone who has fitted a ciggy lighter to a curvey. Do you have any top tips? I've got the lighter but haven't wired it in yet. I'm after it being under the pillion seat and only enabled when the ignition is on.

if you have the optimate cable fitted to th battery just use the conecter as shown above & fit it to the cig lighter, then simply connect it when you want to use it
