Don't know if this is a gripe or smile.

Lost my job today and it has been a massive relief

Gives you a four weeks to get a new one.
Good luck.

I was once fortunate enough to get the sack by an incompetent HR dept. They thought they didn't have to give me notice, but I had been there 1 day longer than they thought and the contract change don that day to 3 months notice on their side. 3 months salary to sit at home job hunting.
Build up a rapport with the agencies and recruiters and a month is definitely doable for a new job.

Blimey that's dramatic

Good luck with getting a new job,I've been in a job I've hated, there's nothing better than walking away from it.

Takes guts to do it mind

Two months ago, Pegasus branched out to the sister company and took up a higher managerial role that meant he was based near home. By some odd twist of fate, from Monday, he's gone higher still, the boss and taken over the branch.

Hoorah, he's like a bloody peacock, strutting around today!

I deliberately hung on as they were trying to force a resignation
