Default Rule of six

OK, I may not be the sharpest tool in the shed but I'm mildly baffled. I was at Willingham Woods yesterday and there were approx 150 bikes there at any one time; it was busy.
Presumably, that can no longer happen under the rule of six (RoS). So, if 6 people ride up that's ok but if a 7th shows he/she must not join the group unless one of the 6 departs. (This is sounding nuts).
If 6 people are there and new person shows up but stays away from the six that's ok? If his friends show up and they form a new 6, separate from first 6, that's ok too, but if one member from group A wants to join group B, that's not allowed. Maybe they can phone between groups? (j/k)

The board game Solitaire (not the card game) consisted of 32 marbles on a board which had 33 dents, the object was to keep jumping marbles until one was left and it had to be in the middle. I keep imagining this applied to the RoS - you're in a 6, you go to the toilet, someone takes your place and you're knocked off the board and have to go home.

Is it based on musical chairs?

I have no idea what is going on with rules at the moment. I've had so much trouble keeping up with changes every other day that I've kind of given up trying to follow it all.

yeah, the law from today will for sure make you group in 25 groups, each one consisting of 6 riders, keeping in mind your social distance to other riders (at least 1 meter) and also keeping distance to other riders. how the hell will police decide on who belongs to which group is still a mystery to me however...

It'll be the usual.. if you're doing the normal thing that normal people do... ie. driving a car, then 100 cars next to each other on a road won't be stopped. If you're one of those outsider types that rides a motorcycle or cycles then get ready to be stopped if there happens to be seven of you on the same stretch of road, out together or not.

Scratch that ... you can do what you want as long as you're carrying a gun. Shooting and hunting is exempt.
