yes, and it will polish up well if you're bored. Be aware if you follow this path you will need to polish every few days in damp/humid weather (not that we get much in the UK )

The full effect. Ignore the mudflap that is an older, unsuccessful design, you will need some kind of protection of the header if you intend to polish it (unless you like polishing).

Yes the system is stainless .... but....

I painted all the exhaust with black high temperature paint ( except for the first 300mm or so ), including the heatshield on the silencer soon after I got my AL7 in 2016, it makes the pipes and CAT 'disappear' and the exhaust looks so much better in all black.... see attached PDF photo

The front bit has gone a nice browny-blue anyway...... ( 'Life is too short to polish exhaust system' )

each to his own, all my bikes have had chrome or shiny exhausts - it's what I'm used to seeing and my preference.

A shiny bike with a rusty brown exhaust screams "neglect" to me, but it's subjective. A wrapped exhaust is even worse and means you have given up all pretense of aesthetics (imho).

I must admit keeping the SV's and the Zed's exhaust shiny is more of a challenge with time and Solvol usage.

I would have painted front bit of exhaust as well but doubted if the high temp black paint would survive that close to cylinder. I actually think the SV exhaust system is a bit fuggly and although I like the sound of standard can I also think that shiny heatshield on it is a bit naff....

What screen is that on your bike, Seeker? It blends well with the instrument panel.

My bike is new and the exhaust isn't shiny like that, but I don't mind polishing it
although not every few days. I have a Pyramid Plastics fender extender but they only bring the front mudguard to what I consider a normal length !
