Drain plug oil leak fix
So I'm a donut, overtightened oil drain plug
Now leaking slightly, can't get it repaired properly until 31st Use the bike daily Quick fix ideas? |

Where is it leaking from, around the bolt head itself or from the boss that the drain bolt screws into? Has it made a hairline crack that you can see?

No cracks I can see, bolt doesn't quite sit straight now so washer is crushed more 1 side than the other and that's causing the leak

Cross threaded or washer is split. Find a piece of copper pipe, make a new washer. Copper is pretty soft and if you hammer it flat, and anneal it it should work fine. Give that a go.

Sounds crossed to me. It is a fairly fine thread so easily done.
Plumbers shops sell copper washers... |
