Muc-off opinions please.
Hi all,
What are your opinions of Muc-off as a cleaning product? Especially the de-greasing abilities of their cleaners.... All thoughts/views will be appreciated. |

Re: Muc-off......opinions please.
I didn't think it was that good and certainly not good at de-greasing.
Paraffin is better & cheaper. As is Wd40 Some on here rate S-Doc cleaner, but I've not tried it, so I can't comment

Re: Muc-off......opinions please.
Their disk brake cleaner is good, as is their PTFE dry chain lube. Other than that their cleaning products are pretty poor, whatever you do don't try their bug and tar remover, as it does zilch!

Re: Muc-off opinions please.
Get down to your local £1 store and get a litre of bike cleaner from them. Does the same as most other stuff IMO

Re: Muc-off opinions please.
A general APC (all purpose cleaner) will do a good job, be cheaper and more flexible for other uses

Re: Muc-off opinions please.
Had a large spray gun full of it. To be honest I wouldn't bother, I ended up needing to go over everything again with a sponge anyway so you may as well just wash it with soap and water. Cheaper and does the same job.

Re: Muc-off opinions please.
It seems to get most of the road crap off but there's probably better out there. It always takes two goes to do it properly

Never had a problem with muc off bike cleaner, then again I haven't used anything apart from that and normal soapy water...
