Calmed down here a bit. Been very windy and rained most of the day, but stopped for a while now.

It's month end so us bean counters are a *tad* busy. I still found time today between people ringing to ask if they could "borrow me" for a few hours to help them with a possible new project - NO, ask me next week - to look out of the window at the lovely weather and wish I could get out for a walk instead...

I went for a walk on your behalf Trev. See the selfless sacrifices I make for people!

Very kind of you Gary. The selfless nature of the wonderful people on this site is truly uplifting

You do of course have some lovely walks on your doorstep, judging from the nice pics recently, and the lovely Mabel to accompany you. Jealous, me, surely not... (I am a bit).

Nearly the weekend so if the weather allows I shall head out for a stroll somewhere nice and hunt out a few geocaches for good measure.

I was meant to be walking on Stiperstones today with a couple of friends but had to drop out at the last minute as I felt so rough from yesterdays covid booster. Disappointed really as it's been a lovely sunny, although cold, day.

Not been to the 'Stones for a few years now. Tramping over to The Devil's Chair and retiring to The Stipperstones Inn for a reviving one, meeting up with the inlaws. Was a nice day.

Have not seen any gritters about just yet but then I am still stuck working from home so may not have spotted any. Just in case, I left Hugh in the garage this morning and took the car to go look at more electric bicycle options. The traffic was horrid! Went on to a garden centre afterwards and could believe how crowded it was - why do so many old dears and clearly retired people go to these places at the weekend?

Now we are retired I try to steer clear of places at weekends and leave them for working people. I remember when working having to go to post office or bank in lunch hour, always seemed to be filled with oldies, why did they choose lunchtime when they had all day ?

I managed a 1.35 mile walk today to express my support for the climate cause https://www.worldclimatemarch.org/First time I have really been out this week - done that plus messing about with the bike battery. (see other thread)

Yesterday it was white over but today its been fairly mild.

I usually garden at the weekends and leave the shopping to others (well most of the time actually)
