Default mirror stem threads

Does anybody know if all parts of both mirror stems on the 2020 SV650A are right hand thread? I have some mirror risers off a previous bike that I am hoping to fit and they are right hand thread both ends.

IIRC ( I have had the OEM mirrors off once just after I got the bike 4 years ago to fit a bracket under the mounting for LED spotlights ) sitting on bike the LH mirror has LH and the RH mirror has RH thread - which ties in with the wind force trying to tighten threads. Some sites say RH mirror has the reverse ( LH ) thread - but I suspect that they are looking at front of bike ?

check the fixing hexagon, a LH thread should have notches in it.. see attached PDF of Yamaha mirrors - Yamaha fit one LH and one RH thread so that on both sides the wind force on the mirror will tend to tighten the thread (when the bike is going forwards LOL ).

You can get adaptors - there are 3 options listed Suzuki mounts are M10 threads https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/mot...nt_prod/497530

Memory hazy here. I think Yamaha (I had 3) is the only one to have LH threads on the right side and RH on the left side. The idea is that forcing the mirror back in a drop doesn't strip the threads, it unscrews the mirror.

Other manufacturers use RH on both mirrors.

Thank you for replies, will need to check it out. The thing is there is the thread for the adaptor into the handlebar mount and the thread for the mirror stem into the adaptor.I think my Honda cb650f had some parts left hand thread.

Both left and right side mirror stem mounts are right hand thread. Still trying to find out about locking nuts.

Just for info, on the Honda NC there is an adapter 18 into the lever bracket which is RH, and the mirror stem itself screws into this adapter with a locknut 22 which is LH. No idea about a naked SV.

I have had a Honda NC 700X, CBF1000FA and CB650F and there were some left hand threads on the mirrors ( I can't remember which exactly ), but it is my current bike the 2020 SV650A I need to know about.
ps was considering bar end mirrors but not sure how the expander comes out of the handlebars. When you pull on the screw it tightens the expander inside the bars of course ! Also looking on Fowlers parts diagram for the handlebars there are 3 weights inside the bars on each side to damp vibration ,which I presume would have to be removed to install bar end mirrors !?
