Default Getting a day pass for ride-outs

Somebody else please tell me they have this problem...

Now I'm not an under the thumb kind of guy by any means, by and large I decide what I do, but getting your way most of the time, means that when the women in your life do put their feet down, they do it properly, and you've no chance!

7th March - EAR Spring Ride-out
14th March - Afghan Heroes Ride-out (and Mothers Day)
21st March - BP Abersoch Ride-out
4th April - Madlanders MESS Ride-out (and Easter Sunday)

Tested the water with my mother over Mothers Day today and got a "you mean you won't be coming for dinner? Your Sister is coming over!" kind of hurt puppy eyes combined with sheer blackmail type reaction, followed by "well it was only an idea Mum", followed by a big smile and "so your coming for dinner then...". Grrr...Women!

Then this evening tested the water with my wife over Easter Sunday, and I won't repeat how that conversation went, but suffice to say I almost got my laptop thrown at me along with words to the effect of "you and that bloody forum!!"

So I've told her that if I can't get out-to-play tokens for 14th March or 4th April, then I AM GOING on ride-outs on the 7th and the 21st, and if she doesn't like it - touch s#1t! That hasn't gone down too well either, but she's French and it was time for me to put my foot down, so the expression "C'est la vie" seemed appropriate at the time. I may be sleeping in the garage with the bikes sometime soon.

Col, Just say your ARE going on all of them (apart from mums day) and give her a little cheeky slap on the backside in a patronising type of way and tell her to go on her way

(If this doesnt go down well, i would recommend running... I wont be held responsible either)
