I'm not sure who it was but Edwina's is cheerfully referred to as "collar bone corner" by some

Well, we are on the final countdown to the TT,I'm just like a kid at Christmas!!!!,one question, can any one tell me how Norton are allowed to race a NORTON that uses an Aprillia engine in the big bike and a KAWASAKI engine in is Lightweight bike,Years ago if you put a different engine in a different manufacturers frame you got a hybrid thing called a Tribsa or Triton etc while I wish them all the best but to me it's not a Norton,!!!

Bimota ran for years, even competing in WSB with bikes using other manufacturer's engines. Frankly given the horrific cost of engine development (bimota's v-due was not a financial success), this makes a lot of sense. Rotax make engines for BMW, amongst others which BMW are quite happy to stick their name on. The decision to call it a Triton or Tribsa was the decision of the people who built them (generally not one of the factories) in the same way people still make a Kawasuki or similar in their shed.

I suspect Norton have considered their chances of using their limited budget to build a better motor than Aprilia / Kawasaki and sensibly decided they can field an under-powered & unreliable motor or just get one bought in.

I agree on that bit, but Norton do make an engine for its road bikes I know that it doesn't fall into the mini twins category but at least enter it into another category,or run the rotary if it's able, after all look at Bruce Anstey last year!!!
