Default K7 GSXR 600/750 or K8 GSXR 1000 Forks

Anyone know if a complete front end from a 2007 GSXR 600/750 or a 2008 GSXR 1000 will ,with a bit of effort, fit onto a 2000 curvy.
I know the speedo drive will need moding, but I am thinking steering stops, and head stock bearings.
I haven’t got them yet, so don’t tube dimensions, but would using the SV triple clamps be an option, with a little machining.

Thanks
Mike

No, the GSXR forks wouldn't fit even when the yokes are machined plus they won't take the stress with what little material is left!

GSXR750SRAD are the yokes to go for on the Curvy SV's!

Why are you looking at these 2 particular models? because you've got them lying around? or for the Radial brakes?
As said the SRAD will be totally sufficent as an upgrade on the SV & the SRAD triple clamps can be adapted for the curvy the easiest.
All the later Gixxers after SRAD will fit the Pointy though.

+1 SRAD would be best for the curvy.

There are quite a few on USA eBAY,that are nearly brand new and criminally cheap,( even with shipping), and my dad has a K7 GSXR 600 and i love the front end on that.

It would be the easiest, but your buying quite old bits of kit now, and with age, (as some of us know) comes wear and slack.
I was very tempted at SVrash setup, his looked top spec and fair price, but for half that you can get the newer kit from the States.

I think you would be on your own trying to figure out how that would work seeing as SRAD on a Curvy has been done to death.

What are the chances of you upgrading to a Pointy?

There are a few good people with Curvies here that might know, but they could be busy on the AR this weekend.

Mike,

You can get just about anything to fit with enough engineering know how, access to workshops and a bit of fishing around bearing suppliers. Might even look at this set-up for mine!
