it's rather annoying how arai have changed the shape of there lids, my ld chaser was great and recently bought a new one and have slowly come to realise that it doesn't fit me as well as the old one :@ apparently shoei and araid have basically swapped their lid shapes. so I will most likely be going back to a shoei at my next lid change.....

Problem is that the more expensive helmets may have more street cred but are not always the safest.

Attached is a .doc with sharp helmet safety plotted against cost - some surprising results.

My smile is....I'm back from the TT,1 am this morning as ferries where running late, and parts of M62 closed or diversions but,I met Poppy Fresco there ( only briefly as he recognised my bike )).racing was good when it happened as schedule was disrupted by bad weather...50 weeks to go or 25 fortnights that sounds better, ferry and accommodation sorted

Bibs, you're quite right, they are very light. Especially compared to the modular ones I had been trying on. Looks like I'll be shelling out another 50 notes for a light reactive Pinlock though to make up for the lack of sun visor.
i have one of those light reactive for the qwest and its not bad but mists up badly when its cold.

Tend not to go out when it's cold or wet these days. Have got some prescription sunnies like LPH but when the sun goes in it's a nuisance changing so on balance will stick with ProtecTint Pinlock. Besides, the prescription sunnies live in the car, I always forget to fish them out, and my normal driving specs are Reactions so when the lid is off I effectively have sunnies anyway. Shame Reactions lenses don't work behind a visor (or windscreen in the car).

I was, luckily I'm working away, so I had a nice curry last night and Italian tonight.

Back to pot noddles tomorrow

Hope you have better luck than the chap I sit next to at work. He had a call on Monday to say the shippers had lost his brand new car and it would be on next week's boat now if they can locate it. It was booked into the dockside lot but parked in the wrong area so missed this week's shipment.

(Audi TT if you were wondering). (And yes they've found it now).
