Ride Ride and Ride.

Re: owwww my wrists!
Adjust your riding position....dont put your weight through your wrists/clip-ons and grip the tank with your legs. I also remember Fizz saying it helped him when he adjusted the pegs.
As an aside find yourself a decent women so your not constantly 'playing with yourself ' |

What usually makes a huge difference is if you adjust the position of the clutch and brake levers. Try and line it up so that you can draw an imaginary straight line through your elbow, then wrist, then out the tips of your fingers. Also as others have said, relax grip the tank with your knees a bit more and dont grip the bars so tight.

Re: owwww my wrists!
Also look at your posture - it's amazing how many people curl up over the tank of the bike, yet this will just increase the pressure on your wrists, shoulders and neck as you back and stomache can do little to help maintain your position.
This is a bit hit and miss as I've never seen you on a bike, but anyway... ... Curl your lower back as little as possible - this can be achieved by rotating your pelvis forwards (or taken from another point of view, sticking your bum back!). This action alone will put more pressure through your thighs and knees and take it off your wrists. Don't be tempted to hunch your shoulders. Infact the straighter your upper back is the more it will keep your head up (so your point of focus is higher/further) and ease your neck too. It's kinda hard to explain well without getting you to sit on the bike and then prod and poke you, but I hop you get my drift. It will possibly make your thighs and abs ache until they get used to it - but perservere as it's better to tone a few muscles that rattle precious wrist joints. |

Also try gripping the tank with your knees!

Re: owwww my wrists!
Everyone complains about wrist ache, am I the only one immune to it?
The more you ride, the less you'll notice it because the stronger your wrists will become! It could be the way you sit on the bike, and also slower riding (in town) isnt easy on the wrists I suffer aches in my shoulders mostly, and lower back sometimes Matt |
