Perforated Hardboard/Pegboard
Why the heck is it so hard to find?! So far the only places I've located would require shipping so I'm looking at just shy of £40/sheet

Re: Perforated Hardboard/Pegboard
I would not bother with that stuff, it is soft and easily damaged. I would just put some plywood up and put nails or screws in to hang your stuff on.

Re: Perforated Hardboard/Pegboard
That's a hell of a lot of drilling on a 4x8 sheet

It's worked very well for me in the past (had it in my garage in Canada for years). Also screwdrivers don't hang so well from nails.

Re: Perforated Hardboard/Pegboard
3mm welding rod is great for stuff like that, just bend it to suit whatever rack you want to make and bend some little eyes on the end for fixing it to the wall.

Re: Perforated Hardboard/Pegboard
Ply is loads better and it means you can easliy move stuff or put shelves up any damn place you like.
You can buy really cheaply sprung clips in loads of sizes that will take hammers, screwdrivers, etc etc. |

Re: Perforated Hardboard/Pegboard
Again Chris is right, (on a roll tonight mate) welding rod is great for bending into shape for holding tools.
I've had a hammer frog on my belt made from one for well over 15 years now. |
