The only problem I've had is that the standard monkey metal bolt has seized into the hole. I don't have any pics to show but they work fine. I was given them with the Goodridge kit a million years ago from the good people at PDQ in Maidenhead.

Its as simple as bending 2mm aluminium and putting a rubber grommet into the slot. Tbh you probably dont even need to trim the bracket just torque it down and it will bend to shape in the slot.
