Agh that video, I remember the noise, it goes right through you, scraping plastic, I've been knocked twice an dropped it a few times too, never a good experience. I remember dropping my bandit, I couldn't get it up, looked like a right fool, some guy ran out of his house to help in the end...eugh, embarrassment

youtube/google is your friend.

face away from bike seat,
bend leg and hold bike.
lift with legs, and its up,

REMEMBER TO PUT YOUR STAND DOWN AGAIN ! before you let go.

I can imagine this will be very difficult in the snow, as there would be very little grip with the snow and ice :/

yeah but after you get your weight and the bikes you should have abit of traction from the weight of everything? ... guess someone could always test it out?

I fell off in 2007. She talks sense as she has to listen to me whinging about the fact that my thumb doesn't work properly when the ambient temperature is below about 15 degrees. Not nice crunchy noises. Reckon it's got a few years but my wrist will eventually need fusing, deep joy.

Get it checked out yeah...

There was a mini roundabout up ahead that I needed to turn right on so I could have easily come off there instead. The whole road including the roundabout was a solid block of ice. I pushed the bike up past the roundabout after that then rode it the rest of the way home.

The thing that made it worse was that the road was all bumpy where the ice had formed unevenly.

All is good and my wrist doesn't hurt as much as yesterday.
