Default can you convert half faired 05 s into fully faired?

Hi All

Is it possible to do the above?convert a half faired 2005 sv650s into a fully faired version?

I have the s in black which came with a belly pan so almost there I guess..and if possible are there any major modifications to make to get said side fairings to fit?

Any advice or experience at all on this much appreciated!

cheers

Yes is the short answer, you would need a the fairing mounts of which there are three. The upper one is the same mount that holds your half fairing on at the sides by the sv650s badges. The lower fixes in on an engine mount if I remember correctly and for the mid mount I would get R&G crash bungs for the fully faired model as they act as a mount and protection in one.

Think I've got that all correct.

There are also mounts on the lower rad bolts and ebay is now one of the only places to buy lower fairings as Suzuki discontinued production

Yes you're right I forgot about those ones. For such a popular bike you would think the fairings would still sell quite well

With that in mind ive sourced a pair of aftermarket lower side fairings on ebay check em out and give me your thoughts as i know aftermarket parts are sometimes a bit lacklustre plus think these ones are from Poland!

They look quite smart mate, trouble is though you won't know how good they'll fit until you've got them. Apologies about powerbronze ones when I looked earlier I was looking at a set for a curvy model not a pointy

Yeah, if they fit, they will look very nice.

I'm looking at the same sellers items, as I want to get some for my curvy.

From what I remember, the quality of these are ok. Bearing in mind that the OEM curvy ones were made by a Dutch firm, and are plastic, these Polish ones are GRP and a bit more sturdy.

My OEM curvy ones snapped around the lug and are impossible to fix

My bad, not the same seller, but similar products, and both based in Poland
