Re: Servicing her myself
Coolant is easy. Buy the Halfords pink, do it now, it's done and you won't have to worry about it for a few years.

Re: Servicing her myself
I've used advanced coolant before but to be honest any ethanol glycol car coolant is fine as specified in the manuals.Usually recommended to change every two years. The systems always needs to be bled/burped to stop air-locks.This is done with the Rad cap off.See the manual/s for procedure.
I normally buy mine from a motor factors,"Andrew Page" https://retail.andrewpage.com/produc.../LUBC%40BLA025 But most concentrated versions will do, http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_fr...olant&_sacat=0 It's best to buy concentrated then mix your own as ready mixed is a rip-off.You can use tap water but I keep the ice(Melted) from when I defrost my fridge and or freezer an put it in a cleaned out 4 pint plastic milk carton. This is de-ionized water and has no calcium content.
