Pity that they aren't closer.

Today's car boot hunt landed me a Nikon AF3 for £2, a Canon Canonet Junior for £5 and a Nikon Coolpix L15 for £4. The AF3 had a new roll of film in, so I would say it was a steal. The Junior has a sticky shutter which will need looking at at some point. What are you lot up to? Its rather quiet in here. I still have the Canoscan 4400 available (free if anyone wants it) otherwise it will be heading for the charity shop next week.

Quick edit, have freed off the shutter on the Junior, quite easy to get in to thankfully. Just waiting for the lighter fluid to dry and I will get it back together and reset the focus.

Had a quick look at the ME super. Got the battery door off. Electronics work or seem too. Had a play with the mechanism under the bottom and fiddled following a YouTube video. The shutter is now chocked but won't release. The main control dial now turns. The common fault is a sticking lever which is definitely the case here. Oil has helped but its still not as loose as it should be. Work ongoing.

That's good to hear, I was going to ask how things were going. Not sure if the meter in the Junior is working as the shutter speed doesn't seem to change.

I got out on the SV for a few hours today. A successful day in that I advanced the XA3 two more frames.
Have a couple of ebay bids in at the moment. Nothing cheap unfortunately.

Every little helps I guess! No photography or bikes this weekend. Off to London next Saturday so I might take the mju.

Was bidding on an XD7 bundle with a 35-70 and an MD Rokkor 1.4. (the 1.4 was what I wanted; would have sold the rest on) It went for £107 in the end, well beyond my limit.

North Pennines were beautiful today. All purple with the heather but I'm naff at landscapes. Even more difficult trying to size up a shot while cruising along at 60.

Get a helmet camera and get snapshots from the video.

Finally finished the film in my 6x9 Ensign. Had a weekend away in Somerset and at West Midlands Safari Park today. Considering the name there are many more cash-in opportunities than animals.
