Engine paint
Having removed the lower fairings in order to polish the downpipe and hammerite the rusting fairing bracket i was met with the engine looking like this:
100_1527.jpg Is it just enough to rub off the loose paint and touch up with black engine paint or should i be doing something to the lot. Your advice please... xx |

Re: Engine paint
Buy a Versys, or if that doesn't float your boat a pointy should do nicely.

Re: Engine paint
Common thing with the early engine.
it does not actually do any harm to it, just cosmetic. I think I ended up using VHT paint and lacquer over the top on one of mine, matched in really well. Guy I sold it to rode it over winter and it did not flake off. I used wire brush on the end of a drill, just get the loose stuff off.
