Yeah it's pretty good. It's a young guy that has his own place. He's going to be doing my car exhaust tomorrow too

Some nice welding there and way cheaper than a new exhaust

Replaced my Scottoiler nozzle and feed pipe after it got caught up in the rear sprocket while I was away. Had to make a bodge repair while in Scotland but now have a proper tidy job again.

hate to be the bearer of bad news but thats going to crack again. the reason it cracked in the first place is that its a stress point where two pipes are flexing against each other. to properly fix it you will need to put a triangular flitch plate in.

Ahh we'll see how it goes. The first one did 12000 miles. I don't know if I'll even have the bike that long. I'm also hoping Arrow will get their finger out and send me a free one, but I doubt it. Their customer service is pretty bad

When I got my bike back on the road, I bought a cheap (Powerline) battery. I finally found some time to replace it with the Motobatt I bought last month. Wow! What a difference. The starter is quite literally turning the engine over twice as fast now.

I've been using MotoBatt AGM batteries for around 10 years.I like the fact they are Fire-and-forget e.g come fully charged and sealed and as you say their CCA is excellent even in cold weather.I recently fitted one to my SV650

Sorted my chainguard. Had to drill the head off of one screw but managed to release the other. Made up a new screw by cutting down a long 6mm screw and making a shoulder from a small piece of fine tube and a small 'O' ring to retain it. Repaired the front bracket on the swingarm with some JB Weld as the actual weld is no longer totally sound.

Bike is now useable again but I need to make the repairs more permanent. Two s/s flanged button head Allen screws, make another shoulder up from the fine tube, get the front bracket properly welded back on.

Gave me the chance to clean the underside of the chainguard too. It was really mucky and running old Scottoil down onto the top of the swingarm.
