cheers mav. yup its growing on me. its about 1/2 the weight of the other one. just fancied a change more than anything but wanted to spend as little as possible.

i'm pretty sure that the wadding in the old one is fubar so i'm going to phone Beowulf next week and see what the score is as they are supposed to have a lifetime guarantee.

The colour flows with the colour of your bike, that's what I like.

A hipster would say it's organic or bs of that sort.

That does look nice. Apart from weight and sound, does a can make a difference to performance anywhere in the rev range?

I guess they're all much the same in terms of internal design - a straight through, perforated tube wrapped in wadding. Does length make a difference?

That's a very tidy looking can Bibs, as Mav says, it fits well with the look of the bike.

yes, a can does make a small difference. long cans give the torque lower in the rev range, medium cans will be around the middle while small cans are higher up. but its all splitting hairs in reality. plodding along at NSL you wont feel that much difference, its when you WOT you will feel it.

unless the can has baffled segments (SV original exhaust) then pretty much every after market slip on has a perforated tube with a wadding wrap and a "DB killer" bolted on the end.

good run out with the bike indicates that the DIY Scotoiler HCR works perfect

new can is loud but a nice loud, its not as obnoxious as i thought it would be.

I had exactly this recently and it turned out one of the big banjo bolts into the bottom of the oil cooler was a bit loose. So have a look there, perhaps?
