Slower than the SV on paper, Dave. Cant comment on the road yet as Ive only ridden it once and it wasnt enough to gauge.

Personally if we are talking about the best looking bike, then the 848 or 1098/1198 would be up there amongst my top 3. As far as wanting to ride it though, id probably rather leave it on display. It was one of the most uncomfortable Id sat on.

I also think the Tuono or Benelli TNT are things of beauty

Remembered it as having more of a distinctive paint scheme than this.

Agreed Fizz.

There have been some bikes cited which are striking or brutal or pretty, but the 748/916/996 is beautiful. From any angle it looks great and you don't have to make excuses about any of it. Interesting that folks always think of the 916, when the 748 and 996 are identical apart from the 996 having the fashionable 190 rear which a lot of owners ditch for the 180 anyway. The 996R/998/later 748 loses a few points due to the slabby side fairings. A not very elegant solution to fitting the new short stroke engine in.

Yeah I like benelli's range apparently the electrics are a load of ****e on them though. Benelli advise leaving the killswitch off when the bike's not in use to stop battery drain.

Sorry, Greek, I know love is blind, but the Falco can never, ever, be described as beautiful!

Different? They just look like a normal sport tourer thing...but a v-twin which is a plus in my eyes. I like quite a lot of bikes but I think IL4's sticking out like massive footrests look daft and spoil the bike. There should be more v-twins.
