So, can we put the DVLA on the same not-fit-for-purpose pile as the DSA?

I sorn vehicles online, they send you a comfirmation e-mail back within a day or 2.

when i passed my test the tester sent my pass cert's and licence off to them ohh and guess what they went missing, i had to reapply with photo copied certificates thankfully they were signed by the instructor so got my license

Always photocopy everything back and front before sending anything off to the DVLA. That way you've got evidence proof.

I er know someone who claims they've 'lost' their license when moving/changing details[1] etc.

Costs a touch extra but should categories be 'lost' then "oh look I've just found it and *there* are the categories I should have".
