thanks for the offer Daz but i have made up some frankenindys, gsxr indy lense casing on sv stalks as the rear gsxr stalk tread is not long enough for the sv snowplough. if i dont like what i see when its all done i'll keep you in mind

hardest part was finding an oem sv headlight at the right price.

i'm getting Matt to make me up an sv650n/gsxr frankenyoke

i've always liked the look of the pointy naked in oem guise.

when i got my first sv i was torn between the two but decided on the sport as they were the same price at cupar as suzuki were doing the fairings package free at the time. the bike i really wanted was a nice tasty daytona they had in at the time but it was the same price second hand and no 0% where the sv was 0%

as for Matt.. yes he is slow but i'm in no hurry as the bike wont be back on the road till march and his products are superb plus he is the only one that will do what i want. i've had no problems in the past with him, in fact just the opposite, i ordered the wrong yoke for the bike but Matt sorted another foc and turnaround was a few days. it really depends on when you order things as like all manufacturers he can only send things off for anodising in batches to be cost effective. he really should tell people this or offer an express anodising service at an extra cost.

Freakin council's insurers are actually trying to weasel out of this bs

Just replied with this

Quote:
The damaged section of road can be seen in its early stages of disrepair on Google Street View dated June 2012. This shows multiple repairs carried out on this small area. This has clearly been poorly maintained over a very long period of time. Instead of repairing the entire section affected by this damage properly, these small 'quick fixes' have been used to temporarily solve the problem. In fact on Google Street View you can see a number of smaller pot holes amongst the many bodged repairs.

To me this certainly does not suggest that Angus Council have been maintaining this road properly, instead they have been doing the bare minimum to get by, resulting in the 'patchwork' of repairs which are clearly visible all over this road.
I have attached pictures showing this work which you deem to be 'safe and maintained'.

I would also like to remind you that the pot hole which damaged my car was in fact reported to the council by the farmer directly opposite the site. He reported it prior to my incident and also commented that he was able hear cars crashing over the pothole from inside his residence for some time. He also witnessed a council road repair van pass the location between him reporting it and the incident involving my vehicle. They did not attempt a repair.

You say that the highway section was inspected on 09/05/17. I refuse to believe that the road condition could deteriorate so dramatically that it went from 'safe and maintained' on 09/05/17 to having a hole measuring 45cm wide, 160cm long and 13cm deep on 29/06/17. That kind of damage simply does not occur in that amount of time, especially in summer months.

This road has clearly been neglected over a period of many years. Even now there are still many areas in a terrible condition. I do not believe that the road was properly inspected on 09/05/17. If it had been the numerous defects would have been repaired by now. I would like you to forward a copy of the council's report from that date.

I would also like to see an independent report of the current condition of the road, carried out by an impartial inspector. I am more than confident that the road will not be found 'safe and maintained' to a satisfactory standard.

I look forward to hearing from you
F***ers! I'm not giving up without a fight!

No point in making it easy for them
