Good, cheap, reliable, easy runner?
I'm thinking of buying another, crappy little bike, studded tyres or whatever, 125 or up i guess, just for the crap weather this country brings.
I don't want to ride my SV to work too much in tropical thunderstorms (as if). So yeh, a cheap as chips bike to insure, drop it a million times and replace nothing kinda bike. What we got? (this isn't an advert, i don't wanna buy one yet as such, i just want advice on what to buy if i did ) I had a look in other places and over autotrader but i don't know what i'm looking for... kinda hard. |

If i had the money mate, thats what i would be doing..
Depends, waht capaciaty you looking for? A yam DT125, a aprillia MX125 (includes blue smoke and 2 stroke sound :P) emm a chinese import, get a new AJS for £1000~. Depends how much you're looking to spend, if the same as me, (cheap b@stard student) then not as much as £1000.. I do want a trailie kinda bike for some 'legal' green laning.. |

no seriously, i'm not just saying it because mine's for sale - dead cheap to insure, bung some proper handguards on a small capacity supermoto with some axle bobbins and you have something that's hilarious fun to ride even when it's slippery and that you won't damage by dropping it cause nothing but the bobbins and handguards touch the ground

Re: Good, cheap, reliable, easy runner?
OOOh yeah i bet
Nah i don't wanna spend real money to be honest, just a cheap-ass thing that i might buy next month. DRZ's look really fun to be honest, might even be tempted to take it off-road (that'll be a laugh)! But i'm a cheapskate, so i was looking at something i'd pick up for under half a grand. Thanks tho guys |

Re: Good, cheap, reliable, easy runner?
Liz bought this of ebay for £300
Honda XLR 125, cheap to insure, goes for ever on a gallon of petrol to. Granted it isnt the fasted bike in the world, but it was cheap and if it gets dropped well TBH I dont really care
