Default Lake District Trip - Places to stay?

Hi all,

I'm travelling up to the Lake District on the late May bank holiday (21st-24th) and looking to see if anyone has any advise on where to stay on the 'cheap & cheerful' side such as a B&B ect. Travelling on the bike '2 up' so will be travelling light.

Interested in staying either in or near:

Windermere
Egremont
Buttermere
Stainton
Keswick
Cockermouth

Thanks in advance.
